The Earths: Earth Zero: Act II: SoMe

SoMe language to us is somewhat jejune,
Used to express sentiment when just out of the womb.
Jones discovered that SoMe affected lives of all kind,
And let us realize the simplicity of the E.Z. mind.

The way it was explained to me in my ancient studies course,
At the time, SoMe was seen as a modern day Morse,
A way to send updates to whom you preferred showing,
But Morse Code had a purpose; SoMe was self-promoting.

Sadly, during initial analysis, Jones was unaware,
Of E.Z. habits of biasing comments due to care
Or concern about the way that others would respond.
So his assumptions of a near Utopian society were wrong.

I apologize, forgive me, that was written austerely,
Let me try to explain this concept a little more clearly:
You see, E.Z. humans used social media in a way
That only portrayed the brightest parts of their day.

Many status updates were short-sighted and careless
But in all fairness, some were poised to raise awareness.
In hindsight, it seems that with the issues of the times,
Lack of concern in world views set the social paradigm.
